Good news.
There is more wonder available right where you are.
It's only a matter of noticing.

I've been chasing wonder my entire life. My favorite memory happened during a game of hide and seek. I hid in a large arborvitae-(your quintessential landscape shrub). While waiting to be found, it was quiet long enough to notice the smell of the fronds, the unusual texture of the bark...and not long after-a beautiful perfume floating through the air. Down below, amongst the thick green leaves were tiny, white sparkly tea cups on a string. It was my first encounter with Lily of the Valley-and it was heavenly.
Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with that feeling. I got very good at being serious, doing what I thought I should, becoming who I thought I was supposed to be. But the part of me that notices tiny sparkly teacups was still there. Queen Rabbit became my way back. A permission slip to play, follow my curiosity, and pay attention to what made me feel alive again. What started as something I needed for myself slowly became something I wanted to share, too. An invitation to notice more, wonder more, and make room for the parts of ourselves waiting to be rediscovered.
I am the kind of person who stops to admire moss.
I suspect that a particularly weathered fence post is the quiet guardian of our meadow.
I am for handmade things, meaningful spaces, playful imagination, and finding magic in ordinary places.
Life is strange and beautiful. I think it is worth paying attention.
